App Store subtitle

Write the 30-character subtitle as a specific use or benefit, not a duplicate brand line.

In brief

The App Store subtitle is a localizable field of up to 30 characters shown beneath the app name. Use it to clarify the product’s primary use or benefit in language the rest of the page can prove.

Give the field one job

A subtitle is too small to carry the entire positioning strategy. Choose the most important missing piece after the name: the audience, job, or concrete outcome.

Avoid slogan fog

Generic claims such as better, smarter, or effortless use scarce space without helping someone classify the product. Prefer recognizable customer language and avoid repeating the brand.

Read it beside screenshot one

The subtitle and first creative frame should tell one coherent story. If they promise different products, fix the positioning before polishing either line.

Rules and interfaces move. Recheck these sources before submission-sensitive work.
