Product page views
Understand what a product page view means in App Store Connect and why it is not the denominator in Apple’s standard conversion rate.
In brief
Product Page Views count visits to the App Store product page, including pages loaded with StoreKit. They are a useful consideration signal, but Apple’s standard Conversion Rate uses unique impressions instead.
The platform definition
Apple counts the total number of times the product page was accessed. A separate Unique Devices version deduplicates by device.
The common misread
Downloads divided by product page views can be a useful custom diagnostic, but it is not Apple’s standard Conversion Rate. Label that ratio clearly if you calculate it.
The decision it can support
Use page views to understand movement from discovery into deeper consideration and to compare external campaigns that send people directly to a listing.
Read the number with territory, device, source, product version, and enough time context. A metric can describe an outcome without identifying its cause.
